The 5 Steps to Forgiveness is a step-by-step guide on how to heal and let go of the damaging feelings left behind from the hurts we have experienced.
In addition to a simple five step process, the book covers some of the times and situations in life that need forgiving:
- childhood wounds
- long-term relationships
- and of course … forgiveness of self
The book also includes real life stories (names have been changed) which demonstrate how people have used the five steps to overcome pain and anger, and to move forward with their lives.
This book was inspired by seeing some clients really struggle with the issue of forgiveness and taking a hard look at how others have managed to forgive and let go. Margy was hearing clients say that they wished there was a step-by step process to guide them through forgiving difficult situations. In looking at her own experiences of forgiveness and speaking with others, Margy was able to put words and some framework around how this miracle of forgiveness happens, even in the most difficult of times.
Margy says that “once you experience the freedom and joy of this process, you will know an inner peace never before experienced.”
